Heartbeats 

HEARTBEATS is a new musical with music and lyrics by Emma Ashford

 

HEARTBEATS (2023 O’Neill NMTC Semi-Finalist) tells the story of Eve — an accidentally pregnant Indiana 17-year-old, just as she's about to follow her dreams at college. After a failed illegal abortion attempt, Eve ends up in the New Life Unit - a pilot prison program created by the federal government since the passage of the Unborn Protection Act, which codified abortion as murder.

The laugh of the medusa 

THE LAUGH OF THE MEDUSA is a new musical with music and lyrics by Thani Brant and a book by Thani Brant and Erica Ito.  It is loosely based upon the Medusa myth and inspired by the 1975 feminist essay "The Laugh of the Medusa" by Hélène Cixous.

In the following demos, Chloe Castro-Santos sings as Medusa, Erica Ito as Athena, Andrew Cekala as The Maker, and Rixey Terry as Perseus.
